Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Environment Management Division.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike, through advisory and consultative processes. Founded over 100 years ago, it is India's premier business association with a direct membership of about 4500 organisations from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs, MNCs and indirect membership of over 50,000 companies from 226 national and regional sectoral associations.

With over 36 offices in India and 13 overseas in Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, France, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, UK, USA and institutional partnerships with 199 counterpart organisations in 92 countries, CII serves as a reference point for Indian industry and the international business community.

The Environment Management Division (EMD) focuses its efforts in integrating environment with economic benefits, thereby increasing the acceptability of environmental and sustainable development issues in the corporate world. The division has expertise in developing feasible management approaches for industry related problem areas. EMD provides a wide range of services through an experienced team of well-trained professionals, including advice on environmental policy, technical services, in-company and inter-company training programmes and information dissemination.
