Training Programmes

Following training modules are offered

One Day Training Programme on Environment, Health and Safety Legislation

To cater to the need of the corporates, CII has designed this interactive one-day Training Module on Environmental Legislation with a focus on important features of all the landmark environmental, occupational health and safety legislation and those ever-increasing requirements forcing companies to be in compliance all the time and even to go beyond compliance.




The list of legislation covered include, Water Act, Air Act, Environmental (Protection) Act, Hazardous Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, Public Liability Insurance Act, Requirement of Environmental Clearance, Factories Act, Explosives Act, Petroleum Act and many others.

The programme is customized to discuss the requirements in an interactive way. Updated information on environmental standards, guidelines and other requirements which are of interest to participants and their companies is a special feature of the training programme.

 
One Day Training Programme on Management of Hazardous Substances

Management of Hazardous Substances is a major environmental issue. However, many organisations do not know that they use hazardous chemicals and generate hazardous wastes as per the respective regulations. Obviously, they are also ignorant about the obligations and requirements to be followed as per the regulations to remain in compliance.

This one day training programme is conducted in-company / intra-company on the hazardous substances management to help Indian industry to know about the identification of hazardous chemicals/ wastes and requirements as per the laws.

Also to introduce sound management practices for the reduction of use of hazardous chemicals and minimize the hazardous wastes generation as well as for their handling/ storage/ treatment and disposal. Administrative mechanism for implementation of laws is also discussed.


Two Day Training Programme on EHS Legislation and EHS Management System

The focus of training programme is on the Environment, Health and Safety Legislation as well as Management System - Environmental Management System (as per ISO 14001: 2004) and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment System (as per BSI 18001). It would be discussed how to design and implement the management systems in an integrated manner. The idea is to provide the perspective of integrating the systems and implementing as combined EHS Management System. Benefits of integrating the systems are plenty. Hands-on experience of working with the organisations implementing the integrated systems will be another highlight of the training programme. Moreover, relevance of legislation with the management system will also be discussed.
